Did you see that romantic comedy? If you have ever seen one, you already can answer yes. In case you haven’t, this is what you ought to know.

The movie starts with a cityscape because everybody lives in a city playing some quirky, older, still cool, theme music. Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Louis Louis, really any Louis will do.

Next we meet the two hopefuls. At least one of them has a job that is on the fast track to success. Both of them are surrounded by quirky but funny friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Even though our main characters are the poster children of eligibility they’ll fall into one of two categories: People who are desperate for love or people want nothing to do with it.

Eventually they’ll meet. Could this be mister or miss right? Everything goes well until the misunderstanding. Yup, that’s right. At one point, usually for a stupid reason there’s a tragic misunderstanding that will alienates our star-crossed lovers. But don’t worry, its not over. One of them will change their mind, swallow their pride or just go along with the script and start the chase scene.

Determined not to lose the only one that ever mattered they will meet, embrace, some mushy kissing happens pull out to the cityscape with the theme music playing and credits roll.

So the next time someone asks you if you saw that romantic comedy just remember the formula: Cityscape, theme music, meant for each other, misunderstanding, chase scene, make up, make out, theme music, cityscape, and done.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget the quirky friends. Now you can comment – Oh yeah, I liked that part where everything went wrong. – interject – What was that music they used? It was way cool. – remark – Seriously, his friends were so weird. And look like you know what your talking about I so surprised they got together in the end. – Without ever seeing the film.
