We know information is addictive. And sometimes you feel like you have to know.

Uh Oh! No video. You will need the Flash player and Javascript enabled to watch this show.

We know information is addictive. And sometimes you feel like you have to know. If you find yourself, or a loved one, paying for it, stop now. There’s help. And for those of you who have been denying the information you crave, just because you’re cheap, there’s a better way. A free’er way.

You’re out on the town and you can’t find Nordstrom’s, so it’s time to dial 411 right? And take the 1 dollar hit? No way. Don’t try and deny it, you’re cheap like that.

There are a handful of companies that offer free 411 numbers, we’ve listed a few of them below. It’s about as simple as it gets, you call the 800 number and tell them what you’re looking for, they connect you to the number for free, and you’re a little safer, not having to drive, talk on the phone and write the number down all at once. You may think you’re an expert multi-tasker, but you’re not. You’re a complete menace.

We have to warn you though, some of these numbers will make you listen to an advert first, because free is only soo free. Now the voice recognition software in the listing will most likely vary. Some numbers tend to be better than others. I called one looking for a bike shop, and kept getting beauty schools. I wonder If they were trying to tell me something?

So try out the numbers below and drop the one you like best into your cell phones speed dial. That way you won’t have any problems finding that beauty school you’ve been looking for.
