AMEX Blue is my card of choice. The rewards are great, and no fee. Problem is the you need great credit to get it. But use 10-30% of your credit cards each month, and pay them off in full monthly for a year and you'll be fine.

Good point pwk. But if you don't keep a running balance and treat a credit card more like a checkbook (that's the way I do it) then you never pay the interest rate and you spend tho same amount as cash. And the 1% or 2% or 5% back is just a nice little perk for spending your money the way you would have spent it anyway (on fuel, car maintenance, groceries, cell phone, etc.)

Dave Ramsey says the average credit card user spends 10-12% more, so the 1% reward actually costs you more in stuff you only kinda thought you wanted.
Cash hurts when you spend it. After a couple days in your wallet, it's like Andrew or Ben become part of the family, and you hate to be parted with a family member, so you end up spending less.
Just a thought. Dave Ramsey has changed the way we look at money. AWESOME guy!!!

Nice. By now some of you may have realized what I'm doing. However, I just felt that the lonely episodes with no posts deserved to have at least one and today that is my mission. Eh, I got spare time.
