This is one of the videos that I like bec. I live in the Philippines where EVERYTHING in the public market can be bought at a lower price, if you haggle. The seller won't think tat you are cheap because they are used to it. Their prices are usually higher... for haggling :)

Yeah, it's the same in Egypt. LOTS of fun! Knowing the competition, what price you're willing to accept, where to start your pricing, and when to walk away are GREAT tools. I would also convert my money into SMALL bills, so that when I piled all that money on the table and show him that was ALL the money I had with me, the seller feels that much more pain if he/she decides to not accept that offer as you pick up your bills 1 by 1.

I liked the tips on haggling, but I have to say my favorite part is the Mexican accent. I’ve spent time in the Philippines and haggling there is great. People make mistakes though. People stand there trying to haggle with wads of cash in their hands. That’s not going to work as they see you’ve got money! So keep your dough in your pockets, separated by bills if applicable that way, you bring the price down to a bill sized amount you’re not fumbling over larger bills that make you look like a cheap American. Just a little info for those who know. That didn’t make sense.
