April Liar

Now Everybody knows it’s April Fools. Yeah, we wanted to play a prank on you but that’s just not going to happen.

Here’s the problem, we have a lot of great ideas, things we could do on today’s show, but because it’s April first we can’t use any of them.

The whole point of our show is to tell you outrageously cool things, and if we put something out there that was so awesome you could hardly believe it, on a normal day you would but on a day like today you’d just think we were lying.

I mean there isn’t any real way of telling if anything we say today is true.

Well maybe if you had, like, a lie detector or Wonder Woman’s magic lasso… that would do the trick.

I vote lasso, especially if you’re Wonder Woman. Actually I don’t care, the lasso doesn’t matter, just the Wonder Woman part.

Boy, if that chica roped me I’d tell her anything she wanted to know.

I’d tell her what she ought to know.

But, you see, even then how could she know I was telling the truth? Maybe I was just telling her what she wanted to hear or maybe I’d want it to be true so badly I’d believe it myself.

Or maybe I’d just keep on lying so she’d keep on interrogating me.

I know, I know, it’s a magic lasso so it has to work. Well William Marston the inventor of Wonder Woman also claimed to be the inventor of the polygraph, and it’s debatable whether or not that works.

I think the crooks just want to get roped. I would.

Wait, where was I? Oh yeah, lying. Nah, there’s no way I’m going to try to lie to you today.

Especially not on April fools.

You guys are way to smart for that. You probably have magic lassos of your own.

Finally got what I wanted.

No baby, it’s not you it’s me. Wait… It’s not me it’s you. Wait, which is the lie?
