Cramming never worked for me and believe me I tried!

I think a necessary addition to this video is to do your homework for all your classes. and I don’t mean cheat off your friend so you get credit for it, but actually do it and understand it. just doing that simple thing has helped me tremendously in school. it forces you to spread out your studying evenly throughout the semester, as you learn each week’s assignment. plus, most teachers base at least half their tests directly off the homework. on a side not, if you are a liberal arts major and don’t get weekly homework, then just stay up on the readings. same concept.

I remember when, as an under-achieving kid in high school, I would spend the previous night preparing for a test by creating one of those cheat sheets with tiny written info all over them. The next morning, I’d stuff the sheet in my sock and wonder how I could cheat with it without getting caught. But every time I did that, I would end up not needing the cheat sheet. I simply remembered what was on the cheat sheet from all the cheat cramming. So I would take the test, pass it, sometimes barely, but all the while fearing I would get caught with my cheat sheet that I didn’t need if I had only studied by writing down all the info I needed to remember. This probably has little to do with the video … but there it is anyway.

Hey, so…I don’t know exactly why, but I always found that studying goes easier, and I remember more, if I break it into chunks, and have a glass of alcohol with each chunk of studying.
Granted, I usually just skip the studying and stick to the alcohol, but..this method has been guarenteeing me As for 8 years now. (Just…don’t do the math on my age.)

I had my last final today. It was pretty bad. It had alot of “which one of these is NOT bla bla bla.”
I don’t do well with those.
There were also a few questions that asked which of the following options were “more right.”
WTF? MORE RIGHT???

I hate to say it but you guys are a little late on the draw with this one. My finals ended three weeks ago, but it was a worthy effort, and my heart goes out to those poor souls who still feel impending doom looming over them like so many carrion birds.

Wow, so that’s the reason I fail my exams. Luckely I have a few weeks till my last ones (end of june) and will even miss one because of my vacation to California, (Tickets were like 400-500 euro’s cheaper if I went three days earlier and missed the exam) so I will take that one in august…
Anyway, here is my favorite mnenomic, which I picked up from the OC:
King Philip Comes Over For Good S*x
Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species

Through my experience, cramming is the most effective. I cram the night b4 the exam, or sometimes a few hours before. lol. and i pass with flying colors. BUt yes, i do realize that i seem to forget it as fast as i crammed it. i guess cramming is most effective because i’ve never tried otherwise.
yep, i tried using acronyms to study but then i remembered the acronym but forgot the meaning of each letter. lol
