Andylicious2006 writes, "Who should I vote For?..."

Uh Oh! No video. You will need the Flash player and Javascript enabled to watch this show.

Andylicious2006… Shouldn’t you be Andylicious2008? Anyway: Andylicious2006 writes:

“Who should I vote for? I hear all about McCain and Obama and all the things they promise to do. But who’s trust worthy? With whom is my vote really going to make a difference? And what was that with Paris Hilton? I didn’t know her IQ of a doorknob helped her understand politics. Isn’t that Hot!?”

Who should you vote for Andylicious2008? Well, if you want to know which President to pick, you might have to look at their running mate… Even though Vice President is like a do nothing job. I mean do nothing. Like, okay, next to nothing. We’ll get to that later.

I find it interesting how the qualifications of Vice President seem to be so hotly contested in this election. You know the Vice President used to just be that guy who stood behind the President. And got his job when he kicked it.
Now there’s all this media attention and mudslinging and talk about credentials, and it just seems like a lot of attention for somebody who just doesn’t do anything..

So what does the Vice President do? I’m gonna go look it up.

Nothing. Well, next to nothing.
The VP gets a vote if the Senate’s deadlocked, and the VP becomes President if, you know, the President stops being President. By assassination, resignation, or just plain kicking it.

And not with your homies. We mean the bucket.
Now McCain is no spring chicken. If the article I read was telling the truth, he’s had melanoma at least four times. Then there’s the whole age related/heart attack thing. I mean the longer he lives, the more likely it is he’s gonna die.

Wait, that’s true for everybody… I think.

So, will he make it the next four years? I dunno. I might not.
Not to be outdone people have started suggesting that Obama might be assassinated. After all, he’s a black man with an Arabic sounding name trying to be President. That makes him the enemy to certain crazy people with guns out there. You can always find those. Especially right around the President.

“Roger. Yeah, I guess that could be a shooter. We’ll take him out. Just to be safe.”

So even though it’s a high-paid do-nothing job, people are seriously taking a deeper look at Vice Presidents, and their daughters, as if they expect them to take office two weeks after the President does. Like, take over the office two weeks after the President does.

“I solemly swear to leave behind this do-nothing job of ease and luxury and fulfil my responsibilities as America’s number one backup guy… Is that it? Do I have all the power now?”

There have been 43 Presidents, nine of them were Vice President successions. Four came to the Office from assassinations, four from death by natural causes and one from resignation.

So you can’t make your Presidential choice based solely on the “who’s more likely to die” theory, because the odds of it going one way or the other are pretty much dead even.

Now I’m not saying that the President’s gonna die. Except that everyone does… Eventually.

“You mean I’ve got to stay with this guy until he’s dead? You have gotta be kidding.”

I don’t really know if I can tell you which way to go on this issue, I mean there are a lot of Conservatives who are against someone like Hillary taking Office, but if they vote for McCain they might just end up getting a woman President anyway.

And all the Obama fans aching for change just might get it. Oops! An old wrinkly white guy in the Office! Again!

Personally, looking at what both sets of candidates stand for politically, or at least what they claim to stand for this week, I wish I could add just one more option to the ballot:
“Do over.”

And about that whole Paris Hilton thing, I mean she has way too much money, she has already made dirty tapes of herself and she’s already been to jail. The only thing left is politics.

I know I'm late, but this was a great video!!! I'm all for "Do-over" but I'm with steph....I'm conservative (go Prop. 8!!) and would rather have a Republican person in charge than Democratic...and quite frankly, I'm all for Sarah Palin making it to the presidency somehow, she seems to actually ... more

Hey I saw you've fixed the t-shirt link and I have to say how AWESOME it is that you guys included the {207} as one of the possible catch phrase options. If you {207}'s haven't seen it, you should look it up now. Long live {207}.

i have to say, you're far too good looking to dress like a boy in his dad's shirt! i know, i saw the fashion episode and i'm no fashionista myself, but really...maybe it's because i'm a canuck and have no "valid" opinion on the topic that i'm cranky about the shirt (really the t-shirts were very attractive even the whack stripey one) or maybe i'm cranky because i can't imagine how you fellows to the south put up with 24-36 straight months of campaigning. i know i'm tired of it and i don't have to try to find the energy ... lots more

I bet the president wouldn't like his Secret Service folk using their iPods for security duties :) But the sunglasses are perfect.

I find it curious that we the people would ask the in-front of the camera guy (and the guy behind the camera as well) who to vote for. I feel if you don't know by now, you need to figure out for yourself who you are and which candidate matches up best with your values. The other thing I find curious is how the media will attack whatever and whoever the conservatives put up as Pres and VP, but would not dare say the same things they are saying about the conservatives if they were liberal. I'm just saying, ... lots more

I read something recently in a local newspaper. Governors know how to balance budgets better then Senators. States can't print more money if they run out. They actually have to work at balancing the budget. So there you go. Sarah Palin is far more qualified to balance US Budget then ... more

Vice president is not a “Do nothing job.” Yes they are the countries back up president but they also act as the presiding officer of the Senate. That doesn’t sound like a “do nothing job” to me. Some history of the vice president: The vice president used to be the candidate with the second most electoral vote, than in 1804 they changed that with the 12th Amendment to constitution saying there are two separate ballets for vice president and president. Some time later they changed it to how it is now. Also for most of the conservatives that were against ... lots more

Sorry, Just have to comment on the Paris Hilton thing. She can't run for President, atleast not yet. There is an age limit (which according to Goodgle is 35) and Paris does not meet that. Yeah, that's been buggin' me.

I was thinking about this the other day and I did some research and VPs really do nothing. I really don't like Obama or McCain, but if I would choose the better of two evils I would choose McCain just because I'm a conservative and I would rather any Republican be in office besides Obama. Now don't get me wrong I do think that Obama is very intelligent and I'm not choosing against him because of his color. I do actually look at what canidates are for, unlike some people who only picked Obama because of his color. I like ... lots more
