You may have noticed our shows have started sucking.
Hi there. Guy in front of the camera, here. You may have noticed that our shows have started sucking. And if you haven’t noticed that, you might have noticed that the comments said that our shows have started sucking. And we felt that that demands a video response.
I can kind of see where you’re coming from, I mean, ‘Happy what-you-ought-to-know-day’ wasn’t really a show, and the recent one on suggestion box pain was kind of housekeeping. We wanted to answer a lot of questions at one time. Apparently people didn’t like that. Don’t worry! That won’t happen again. Like we’d put ourselves through that again. Maybe the shows really do suck. But I have a theory. For a long time, we’ve been analyzing viewing patterns. And most of you guys are binge-watchers. You come in and you watch 3 or 4 or 5 or 7 shows all at once. And some of you watch all of them in a 2-day period. Wow. No sleep.
So normally when you come to watch the show, you have several shows you can pull from, and if one of them sticks out as being really good, then you go away with a positive experience. Whereas nowadays, it’s only one shot per week. Which means we only have one shot, instead of 5, to satisfy your cravings.
And if you do find something you don’t like in the show, you have all week to think about it. And comment about it.
So is it that the shows are materially worse? Or that we just have less opportunities to please you with them? I mean, because some of our viewers really liked ‘Suggestion Box: Pain’. And some of them really didn’t. Now we just have to know! What are the top 5 worst shows we’ve ever made? In your opinion. Don’t hold back! I can take it. We want to know. You can even say what you didn’t like about it. Just post it in the comments. ‘Suggestion Box: Pain’, ha! This is full on viewer insurrection at What You Ought To Know.
